Hi, I’m Destiny — a children’s book illustrator, teacher, and mom of two based in New York City.

I didn’t grow up with access to art, but once I found it, it became something I held onto tightly. Now, creating feels like a full circle moment for me. My work is deeply inspired by my life—especially my kids, my family, and the everyday moments that don’t always get noticed but mean everything.

I’m drawn to storytelling that feels warm, honest, and emotional. I love creating characters and scenes that reflect real life—love, growth, chaos, comfort—and turning those moments into something soft and meaningful. My goal is to create children’s books that kids can see themselves in, and that families can connect to together.

As both an artist and educator, I care deeply about how art makes people feel. I want my work to bring comfort, spark imagination, and remind children (and adults) that their stories matter.
